Privacy Policy

Horizech LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 15030680. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Horizech LTD.

We are established in the United Kingdom, so we are not required to appoint a representative under Article 27 of the UK GDPR — you can contact us directly at the address below.

Horizech also has companies in the United States and Pakistan. They are separate legal entities with their own responsibilities. This policy covers only data controlled by Horizech LTD. The group website at horizech.com, and the products published there, are operated by Horizech LLC under its own privacy policy.

This site is a brochure. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no analytics. We do not build a profile of you and we cannot tell who has visited.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — including your IP address, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string — for a short period, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That is the only personal data this website causes to be processed.

If you email us, we hold your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message, so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

If you become a client, we hold the contact details and project information needed to carry out the work and to meet our own legal and accounting obligations.

• Legitimate interests — replying to an enquiry, keeping our website available and secure, and running our business. We have considered your rights and do not think these uses are unexpected or intrusive.
• Contract — where we are delivering work for you, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep records, for example for tax and accounting.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions — hosting, email, and accounting.

Where we deliver client work, our development team at Horizech SMC-Pvt Ltd in Pakistan may process project data as our processor, under contract and on our instructions.

Some of the recipients above are outside the United Kingdom — in particular Pakistan, and the United States where other Horizech companies and some providers are based. Neither country is covered by UK adequacy regulations for these purposes, so where personal data leaves the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses, together with an assessment of the transfer. Ask us and we will tell you which applies to a particular transfer.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted once they are clearly no longer live. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and then for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and legal purposes. Server logs are short-lived.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete data, where there is no continuing reason for us to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on our legitimate interests;
• ask for your data in a portable form, where it was provided by you.

You can also complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put things right.
